Tonight I had the pleasure of watching my granddaughter Jaylin at her first gymnastics meet. It was easy to be "fully present" watching her. I'm such a proud grandma! For Jaylin, this was about more than gymnastics. A few years ago Jaylin would barely talk to anyone she didn't know. She was extremely shy..especially around strangers. She loves gymnastics so much she had the courage to put herself out there this evening. She competed in three events, received three medals, hung out with friends, and from all appearances seemed to be having a great time. Such a joy to watch!
